    As a member of the Doors & Security HR Leadership Team, you will report to the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources and lead our HR Operations & Supply Chain team – including HR Business Partners and Environmental, Health, and Safety. In addition, you will serve as the Business Partner for the general manager Milwaukee Operation, VP Global Supply Chain and VP Quality.  Based in either the greater Milwaukee / Chicago area or Northwest Ohio / Toledo area, this critical role will drive strategic human capital initiatives in the areas of organizational design and development, employee and labor relations, and workforce planning.   


    Ideal Candidate

    We are seeking a hands-on HR leader with US & Mexico manufacturing and global supply chain experience who will deliver value-added, best-in-class support while serving as a strategic partner, employee advocate, HR & EHS operational manager and executive leader. The VP will have significant experience driving alignment with business priorities while ensuring action and compliance in a fast paced, dynamic environment.  This role requires a person who is self-motivated and works well in team and matrixed environments.  S/he must be able to interact with and influence leaders and contributors at all organizational levels. 


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Know/understand the business and its challenges; address organizational and people needs; provide counsel and drive action in matters concerning organizational design and development, employee and labor relations, change management, staffing and retention
    • Partner with Doors & Security’s Global Operations & Global Supply Chain teams to align structure, people, process and reward systems with business strategy as well as ensure our work locations are safe and secure
    • Focus on talent – assist business partners in identifying, developing, coaching and mentoring top talent; ensure we are building strong team, capable of and empowered to build and execute a focused agenda; plan for succession
    • Develop, monitor and leverage key performance indicators to drive business improvement; focus on manufacturing, supply chain and customer service KPI opportunities
    • Partner with FBHS and Doors & Security HR to build and execute a focused HR/organizational excellence strategy
    • Champion and drive a culture that embraces innovation, continuous improvement and change, ensuring the pursuit of organizational excellence
    • Lead the business in a manner consistent with Doors & Security’s goals, objectives, policies and values; enable a working environment where sharing knowledge and expertise is not inhibited
    • Assist in development and delivery of HR process and systems training
    • Maintain a pulse on regulatory and political changes as well as shifting market dynamics; serve as general advisor concerning business, legal and workforce implications; effectively manage risk


    Work-Life Balance Considerations

    • Ability to live in the greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chicago or Toledo, Ohio area OR near a major metropolitan airport
    • Ability to travel overnight approximately 10-15 nights/month between Therma-Tru, Master Lock, and Fiberon locations. Our locations are in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Idaho, and Mexico.

    Desired Outcomes – Short-Term

    • Organizational Development – Partner with Master Lock SVP-Global Operations & Supply Chain to build a team (structure and talent) with the leadership and technical capabilities required to execute tactical initiatives as well as long term global business strategies
    • Continue development of consistent manufacturing scorecard (Daily Management) – leverage data to ensure operations are appropriately staffed and drive continuous improvement
    • Drive EHS programs to ensure targets are met
    • Continue integration of Fiberon operations & supply chain into Doors & Security
    • Evaluate and build plan to address Milwaukee Manufacturing systems opportunities


    A successful VP, HR Operations & Supply Chain will have:

    • 15+ years of relevant HR experience supporting manufacturing and supply chain organizations; firm grasp of the fundamentals of HR and EHS Management in the US & Mexico
    • Demonstrated employee and labor relations experience – including union contract administration and collective bargaining as well as positive associate relations in a non-union environment
    • Experience in supporting supply chain including; SIOP, Logistics, Transportation LCC sourcing
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze and interpret data, driving thoughtful recommendations and action
    • Demonstrated organizational development experience – aligning structure, people, process and reward systems with business strategy; managing transformational change
    • Demonstrated ability to hire, inspire, lead and develop talent on own team
    • Preferred:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field
      • SHRM (PHR, SPHR) Certification
