    Therma-Tru is currently looking for a CAD Designer to join the New Product Development team in the Innovation Center in Maumee, OH.

    The CAD Designer, will participate with Design and Project engineering team members to develop and improve the products that drive our company’s growth.  Be a member of the cross functional product development teams that work to bring new products to market.  Be challenged with engineering and technical problems that stretch your talents, expand your horizons and grow your technical skillset.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Produce fully constrained solid models along with clear and concise engineering documentation to support key business initiatives and product introductions.
    • Participate in detailed design reviews with other technical functions in the company and assist in bringing new products through production and into the market place predictably.
    • Train and mentor other CAD users
    • Assist in the development and improvement of Engineering Drafting and Modeling Standards
    • Develop and recommend solutions to design challenges
    • May perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • 1+ years CAD experience
    • Associates degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Applied Science in Engineering Technology or similar CAD/CAM program. 
    • Experience with 3-D Parametric Solid Modeling (Solid Edge preferred) and AutoCAD
    • Desire to grow skills in CAD & parametric solid modeling
    • Experience with Family of Parts or Parent / Child modeling a plus. 
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Mechanical (Machining) experience a plus
    • Mechanical Aptitude
