    Therma-Tru is currently looking for a CAD Designer to join the New Product Development team in the Innovation Center in Maumee, OH.

    The CAD Designer, will participate with design engineering team members to develop and improve new products.  You will be a member of the cross functional product development teams that work to bring new products to market.  

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Produce fully constrained solid models along with clear and concise engineering documentation to support product introductions.
    • Participate in detailed design reviews with other technical functions in the company and assist in bringing new products through production and into the market place predictably.
    • Train and mentor other CAD users
    • Assist in the development and improvement of Engineering Drafting and Modeling Standards
    • Develop and recommend solutions to design challenges
    • May perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • 5 years CAD experience with 3-D Constraint/Parametric Solid Modeling (Solid Edge preferred)
    • Associates degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Applied Science in Engineering Technology or similar CAD/CAM program. 
    • Desire to grow skills in CAD & parametric solid modeling
    • Experience with Family of Parts or Parent / Child modeling a plus. 
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolution CAD system issues
    • Ability to use advanced modeling techniques effectively
    • Critical thinking skills to help solve complex problems
