    Located in Northeast Indiana, Therma-Tru Doors is currently seeking an Associate Engineer at our Butler, Indiana plant.

    The MES Associate Engineer will support and drive projects with the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) engineering team.  You will collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and operators to help drive improvements throughout the Butler facility by aiding in the development of MES applications and hardware implementations to support the continuous improvement culture.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support MES engineers with day-to-day tasks to support manufacturing operations
    • Develop SQL based reports based on MES data
    • Utilize Ignition software to support and develop applications for MES
    • Develop data acquisition systems by working closely with controls engineers
    • Maintains, analyzes, and participates in modifications to existing systems
    • Participates in development and testing of new systems and programs
    • Develop and execute end-user test plans as needed
    • Support project teams to help drive continuous improvement
    • Support corporate goals and objectives
    • Less than 10% travel required

     

    Requirements:

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or commensurate experience required
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
    • Technical understanding of computer programming
    • Knowledge of Python, Microsoft SQL databases, HTML, Java, and Expression languages a plus
    • Knowledge of Windows based systems and MS Office Suite
    • Knowledge of computer application development
    • Knowledge of PLC’s, programming, tag structure, data collection a plus
    • Knowledge of SCADA software, such as Ignition, a plus
    • Demonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communication
    • Knowledge of ERP system functionality, bill of materials (BOM’s), part/product configuration, and production scheduling/sequencing a plus               

    Candidates for positions with Therma-Tru must be legally authorized to permanently work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including student visas.
