Overview

Therma-Tru is currently seeking a Spring 2018 Supplier Quality Intern to be located in Butler, Indiana, just 30 miles north of Fort Wayne. 

As a Supplier Quality Intern, you will work closely with our supplier quality engineers to drive company profitability through improvements in our suppliers’ quality, delivery, and efficiencies. The Intern must have a strong knowledge of statistical analysis.

 Responsibilities:

  • Measurement system analysis (including but not limited to Gage R&R)
  • Supplier ISIR (initial sample inspection report) and PPAP (production part approval process)
  • Gage improvement projects
  • Supplier engagement for gage improvement and product capability improvement
  • Problem investigation for root cause (include use of drawings, material specs, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Translates business objectives into understandable language for all associates
  • Providing information and training to established teams
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment

A successful Supplier Quality Intern will meet the following requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Understand of Gage R&R and SPC
  • Excellent computer skills – experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook & Excel) required
  • Desire to work in both corporate and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
