As the Sales Intern, you will receive robust training in our products and sales process to work with inside and outside sales managers on active sales projects. 

 

This opportunity is for a full-time Summer internship, and could potentially be extended to a part-time fall and spring internship depending on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the marketing department in developing new or updated sales tools.
  • Partner with inside sales team in training dealers on updated tools.
  • Partner with Inside sales team with updating IPAD and touchpoint materials
  • Assist local Territory Manager in supporting specific New Construction Initiatives
  • Conduct outbound calling initatives with dealers and builders.
  • Access research data on specific markets and assist with developing target lists
  • Participate in an in-depth training program to rapidly learn the door business. Includes:
    • Hands-on building of door systems
    • Product knowledge training (Doors 101-201-301-401)
    • Technical training with a member of Sales Support      
    • Orientation with other key functional areas of the business (Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, Customer Care (Consumer/Trade Calls + Post Sales Support)
    • Orientation on Therma-Tru Customer Relationship Management Tool (Sales Logix)

Conclusion of Internship

  • Develop and present to senior leaders a “report out” presentation on key areas of learning.

Qualifications

A successful Sales Intern will have:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Desire to pursue a career in Sales
  • Interested in building products as a potential field of work
  • Ability to work independently on sales/marketing research projects in support of sales
  • Pro-active, can take action in the absence of specific guidance
  • Demonstrates a passion for understanding customer needs
  • Ability to successfully partner with the Therma-Tru sales organization
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required to support the sales force

Candidates for positions with Therma-Tru must be legally authorized to permanently work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including student visas.
