The Engineering Services Manager for the Matamoros, MX glass plant is responsible for three key areas and several subsidiary duties. These include:     

I.    Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Engineering, and Product Quality.   

II.    In addition, the position is responsible for the development of strong teams and World class techniques in Manufacturing and Production Management including Safety Deployment, Lean, Successful new Product introductions, and continuous improvement strategies to lower costs and improve quality.   

III.    Responsibility to work directly with the manufacturing leaders and the Customers focused on assuring that the manufacturing strategies of Glass & Components produced in Mexico result in best-in-class product quality.

 


 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  •   Leadership for the plant Engineering and Quality teams.
  •   Responsible for developing leadership skills for the management staff
  •   Ensure that TT core values are enhanced through Leadership and Strategies
  •   Develop Engineering and Quality Strategies & Development plans supporting Core SC strategies & Corporate Goals/ Objectives
  •   Supports and encourages a Safe Work Environment
  •   Ensures successful New Product launches, Quality & Cost  Improvement project development and improvements
  •   Implement Lean Manufacturing processes ultimately developing a continuous improvement culture
  •  Work to Implement and Improve Key Indicators
  •   Works with the Sales & Marketing team to identify/implement cost and quality improvement opportunities.
  •   Identifies and lead/ support working capital improvements/inventory reduction opportunities
  •   Establish contingency plans based on business plan risk assessment
  •   Assures a process is in place, working with the Quality team to prioritize field product
  •   Responsible for plant budget and cost savings
